Thank you for the new 18 Oct 22 update. It's working much much better now. Previously only gave it one star. Everything finally works as it should including offline maps. The only recommendation I have for the next update is to warn the user when they select too large an area for an offline Map BEFORE it starts downloading the selected area. If it's too large an area it won't finish downloading and can't be used, wastes my data allowance having to download a smaller area to use instead.

This app is problematic, particularly for those of us wanting to use the offline map feature when outdoors/camping. You cannot download a large area. If your selected area is too large, you have to delete it or it blocks you from adding other maps. You can save a map for offline use, but you evidently have to OPEN the offline map when you are still online, and leave it open in the app. If you attempt to open it when offline, it will display a black, empty space. If you close your app with the offline map selected, you lose it. No wonder there is no detailed user guide--the developers were too ashamed to write it.

App works well for communication purposes. GPS in a location either no connection to cell towers is not happening. There's a major issue with downloading maps for offline use. The maps will not download beyond 62% and the app will start bugging and crashing if you even so much as attempt to download a map beyond 62%. This is a major problem. I am using a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ which should have more than enough power and storage to download tons of maps. I can't even download 1. Not good.
