This blessed surah is considered the longest in the Holy Qur’an and it is the first surah revealed in Medina, and it was revealed on the Day of Sacrifice during the Farewell Pilgrimage in Mina. It is one of the great surahs that are considered to have great reward. Its number of verses is 286, and it has many merits in its recitation. It is the second surah according to the order of the Qur’an, and it begins with the letters “M,” and the word Majesty is mentioned in it more than 90 times, and it is interspersed with the verse on religion, It is considered the longest verse in the Holy Qur’an, and Surah Al-Baqarah is also considered one of the surahs that addresses many of society’s issues and works to organize it and legislate its laws, and it is what Muslims need in their lives.

The surah, which is a legal, preventive ruqyah, contains Ayat al-Kursi, numbered 255, which is a verse that many Muslims memorize and believe has great importance. On the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, entrusted me to purify the zakat of Ramadan, so someone came to me and began to scoop some food, so I took it and said, ‘I will raise you to the Messenger of God.’ So he narrated the hadith, and he said, ‘If you go to bed, recite Ayat al-Kursi, a guardian from God will remain with you, and no devil will even approach you. In the morning, the Prophet said, “You are telling the truth, but it is a lie. That is a devil.”

Reciting the recitation and intonation of Surat Al-Baqarah has great benefit, God willing, and it was given this name in commemoration of the miracle that dazzled the world in the time of Moses, peace be upon him, “the Word of God”, where a person from the children of Israel was killed and they did not know the killer, so at that time they presented the matter to Moses. Peace be upon him, until the killer was known, so God Almighty inspired him and commanded them to slaughter a cow, hit the dead person with part of it, and the dead person would live, God Almighty willing, to tell them about the killer, and that would be strong proof of the power of God Almighty, and prove to people that God Almighty He is able to bring the dead to life, and here we mention that Surat Al-Baqarah in the application is read in the voice of the most famous and distinguished sheikhs who excelled in reciting the blessed Surat Al-Baqarah.
