The Ontario Federation of All Terrain Vehicle Clubs (OFATV) brings an enhanced version of its web application to your pockets, making for a better riding experience than ever. Working both with and WITHOUT mobile data coverage, you will be able to enjoy the appās functionalities no matter where you are on the trails.
This app gives you access to the following *OFFLINE* features, anywhere, anytime, even in areas without cell coverage:
āŗ See your location on the map through your phoneās GPS signal
āŗ View nearby restaurants, gas stations, hotels, parking, and other services
āŗ Access the trails conditions as per the last data connection available
āŗ See the distance between you and a specific point
āŗ Quickly save and load itineraries
Getting back to a zone with mobile coverage? Enjoy these additional *ONLINE* features :
āŗ Keep an eye on updated trail statuses for the best riding experience
āŗ Easily meet with friends by sharing your position with each other (no one else can see your location)
āŗ Plan out an itinerary and share it with your group

Notes:
āŗContinued use of the GPS and location sharing running in the background can significantly increase battery consumption. It is recommended to toggle it off when not needed to improve autonomy.
The Pro Version is a 4.99$ CAD per year auto-renewable subscription. Payment will be charged to the Google Play Account at confirmation of purchase. Auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the userās account settings after purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. The account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the userās Account Settings after purchase.

This app works good. Im giving it 3 stars for a couple of reasons: 1. I wish we could choose the orientation of the map for routes I have created to follow, I prefer GPS maps that rotate so you are traveling to the top of the screen, takes the guess work out of which way to turn. 2. It would be helpful if the blue dot was a different color than the blue line on my route that I created, its hard to tell where you are while on the move. 3. Be nice to be able to switch to a satellite view.

It's a good app with a lot more potential than what is being used... People should be able to tag hazards or good spots on the trails and such... Would be good if the icon that points to the rider on the trail actually followed you along the trail as an actual gps does, scrolling every 5 minutes sucks. Lots of potential to be great, but right now, just so-so...

Paid for this app twice once for my cell phone once for my tablet. It was my understanding this app was supposed to work without internet. While using the app on my tablet? I tried locating my position and it kept popping up a message saying I'm not in the area of the trail yet i'm sitting in the middle of it. Gave up on the tablet and move to the phone. The phone worked a little better but not much. Not accurate at all you can never really tell where you are. You're more likely to get lost.
