Maginon WiFi Extender

Worst of class. Needed function: AP from wired router. Managed to login (via wired laptop) and setup AP, but never got external IP. Manuals are in German, only. Would not trust that any of their other products interfaces are any better. Note that the app and description in the app store haven't been updated in years!

I loaded the app more for curiosity since I had already set up the Wi-Fi extender manually without problems. REALLY pleased with that! The app, however, would not work until I realized that I had already changed the WIFI extender's password and the app is not able to deal with that. My only comment is that should be an available option.

The app is broken on Android, I tried using my phone to set up the extender and no matter how many times I tried it wouldn't work (Huawei Mate 10). So I had to borrow my sister's iPhone XR and do it there instead, and the app on iOS worked and I was able to do it, and the extender works great. I'm not sure what they broke on the Android version, but it doesn't work here and you basically need to have an iPhone to use this product.
