What is the INN-TALER?
The INN-TALER is a digital currency that you can use to shop, eat and drink in Innsbruck's old town. It offers a digital payment system for selected and clearly marked partner shops within Innsbruck's old town. With the help of the INN-TALER-APP, companies can pay credits to the old town club, which can then be distributed to the employees of the respective company. The app generates a QR code for each user that is scanned to redeem the voucher when shopping. The currently available credit is also displayed in the app. This digital solution creates incentives for shopping in Innsbruck's old town, because the QR code can be used and redeemed at all participating partner companies.

Why do you need the INN-TALER?
The INN-TALER helps to keep the added value in the region and encourages local shopping. Incentives in the form of digital vouchers are to be created so that customers can continue to make their purchases in the member companies of the old town Innsbruck interest group and in the old town in general: These can be redeemed in the member companies of the old town club. Especially in the current time when security, hygiene and contactless payment are more important than ever, it is essential to maintain purchasing power in Innsbruck's old town and to generate sales in the respective partner companies.

How does the INN-TALER APP work?
The INN-TALER APP can be downloaded from the App Store. A company determines a quota with which vouchers can be purchased from the Innsbruck Old Town Association. The company hands out these vouchers digitally to its employees. As soon as an app user has received credit, a QR code is generated with which the credit can be redeemed in shops and restaurants within Innsbruck's old town. The partner company scans the customer's QR code in the app and the voucher value is reduced by the respective amount. The respective use of the vouchers is recorded in order to record how many vouchers and in what amount have been redeemed at the respective partner companies. With the help of the evaluation, the old town association then transfers money to the partner companies every month.
