What is the INN TALER?
The INN-TALER is a voucher solution for shops, restaurants and service providers in the old town and city center of Innsbruck. It acts as an alternative payment option with which you can shop, eat and drink in participating partner businesses in the center of Innsbruck. With the INN-TALER app, it also offers a digital payment system. This means that contactless payment can be made directly via the INN-TALER app.
The INN-TALER app is currently used primarily by companies that purchase INN-TALER credit and then distribute it to their employees. The INN-TALER is the ideal gift for Christmas, birthdays or service anniversaries. The technical processing is carried out by Inn-Taler GmbH, which transfers the corresponding credit per employee to the employee's app.
In the near future it will be possible to transfer the balance of the haptic INN-TALER voucher cards - which are currently available in stores in denominations of 25 euros - simply and easily to the INN-TALER app.

Why do you need the INN-TALER?
The INN-TALER encourages local shopping, promotes stationary trade and helps to keep the added value in the region and to keep and create jobs. It is therefore the antithesis to online trading and helps to keep Innsbruck as a lively city with flair. The INN-TALER can be redeemed in participating shops, restaurants and service providers in the old town and city center of Innsbruck.

How does the INN-TALER app work?
A company determines a contingent with which a certain voucher value per employee is purchased from Inn-Taler GmbH. The company hands out this credit digitally to its employees. The employee loads the INN-TALER app from the App Store onto his/her smartphone.
As soon as an app user has received credit from the company, a QR code is generated in the employee's app, in which the corresponding credit is stored. This credit can be redeemed by the employee in participating shops and restaurants in the old town and city center of Innsbruck. The participating partner company scans the QR code in the employee's app and the voucher value is reduced by the respective amount.
The Inn-Taler GmbH transfers the amount of the redeemed credit to the partner companies once a week.
