About this app

Human body is a very complex biological machinery, which consists of multiple peripheral systems, located in our cells, which activate cascade of very complex metabolic processes in respond to external and internal signals. Master clock, located in hypothalamus, orchestrates their work by sending synchronization signal to them.

If a person has erratic lifestyle, the bio machine has to re-adjust constantly and that will lead sooner or later to many problems, starting with obesity, poor sleep quality, compromised muscles, depression and will further progress to serious chronic illnesses. On the contrary, daylight exposure, food intake, intellectual activities, physical exercise and sleep at the right time will boost your mental and physical capabilities and achievements.

Number of scientific researches reveals highly circadian nature of our internal biological processes. The 2017 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded for discoveries of molecular mechanisms controlling the circadian rhythm.

Bioclock application implements the most recent research of circadian rhythms and will provide you advise on sleep-awake, feeding-fasting, work-rest activities throughout the day.

Informative and I love how it simplifies in your mind all the stages of your body throughout a day. But, I have a hard time selecting/changing a date to input data unless it's already the same date as today. Symbols and colours on the home screen are left for you to guess. What does orange mean for example? Also some of the language used is jargon with no explanation, e.g. I still haven't understood what sleep cycles are. I honestly love the idea and would rate higher if it was executed better.

Thank you! Your feedback is very relevant and will be addressed. You can get some information if you would tap on symbol icon. Colors are related to cycle of your circadian rhythm, where green background is related to feeding/ active cycle, orange/yellowish - afternoon dip, reddish - peak of physical strength.

Lacks the actual data of each sleep cycle. The app is making suggested bedtimes without knowing how much sleep you've actually achieved. It would be nice if I could automatically have a sleep tracker record my sleep performance in your app. I find it work to have to go in and manually enter the data. I see a lot of promise with the science in the app, but you need more data in your app to crunch the science. The amount of time in bed doesn' equal when you were asleep, or how long you were awake.

Kudos to the developer, this is a brilliant app, everything is well explained and it's a unique way to visualize your day and understand your body's rhythms. I am using this app mainly to help get my sleep back on track. I was looking everywhere for an app that would show a vertical sleep regularity graph like this one has, so that I could see patterns over time, and track my sleep using a simple timer. My only wish is that there would be a setting to view the clock in 12 hour time as well as 24 hour time.

Thank you for your feedback! Interesting idea to have 12-hour clock. That would allow more granularity for upcoming activities in the following 12 hours. Will definetely consider adding this feature. I was mostly thinking about reducing the size of icons to fit into 24 hours circle.
