The room tuning function in this app seems to do nothing (as best I can tell). The app connects to my SP11RA fine but when I run the tuning app the "before/after" sound is identical and all of the speaker levels are set at zero. I think it highly unlikely that somehow my room is "perfect" and hence all levels would be the same after tuning. So as I say - doesn't seem to work. Conversely the similar Sonos app (which this soundbar replaced) did a good job of room tuning.

Avoid LG soundbars, you will never get the best experience because LG apps are sadly unusable. This is truly one of the worst apps I've ever used. When it connects it's alright, but it will never reconnect a 2nd time. It can't even find the soundbar again without me resetting the unit. I literally have to factory reset my soundbar EVERY time I want to use this app. A complete waste of time. My advice is to get a Sony, Samsung or Bose soundbar because I'm sure their apps would be better.

Using this app for SN8YG. Speaker would random turn on. Newer firmware seemed to have fixed it but introduced other issues. It refuses to set up with Google home. The sub would not pair. The soundbar would not cycle to BT function too. Either new firmware broke the speaker or capacitors failed. The app is a buggy mess and unintuitive. Had to bring it to the store twice and called support to initiate repairs since refunds is not possible. Don't force customers to use apps in this state.
