Elvy Sukaesih (born in Jakarta, June 25, 1951) is a legendary Indonesian dangdut singer and is nicknamed the "Queen of Dangdut". He was born to a couple from Sumedang, West Java. Her original name is Else Sukaesih, but she is obsessed with changing her name after reading a novel that tells of a female character named Elvy. Since then he prefers to use the name Elvy for his popular first name on stage.

Elvy married at a very young age (14 years) to a young man of Arab descent, Zaidun Zeth.
