About this app

Newsbeamer allows you to send a number of popular newspapers and magazines directly to your kindle, or other ebook reader (kobo, ipad, nook) - for free! It works for mobi, epub and pdf outputs.

If you're enjoying this, please consider the pro version. The free version has a limit of two publications a day, but the pro version has no limits. The pro version also allows you to send RSS feeds, and helps me to cover server costs.

You can get support or ask questions on our reddit page - https://www.reddit.com/r/Newsbeamer/

The list of publications is constantly being expanded - but do contact us if you would like something new adding to the pro version.

This app relies on tools, recipes, and scripts from the excellent ebook management program, Calibre (https://calibre-ebook.com) and is licensed under the GNU GPL.

This app is excellent! Works perfectly on all my devices. The developer is very responsive and seems committed to continuing to improve an already great product. If you have a Kindle Paperwhite and prefer reading your daily news on a non OLED screen this app is the best I've seen. I've set up news delivery myself with calibri and it can be a pain in the butt to maintain. Set up with this app is minimum, and the results are largely consistent. Great work. Paid for the pro version based on this

Use for The Guardian. Works better than expected - the document sent has an index listing headlines, sport, opinion etc with articles from that sub listed. Brilliant. It does what Calibre does on your PC, but you dont have to bother turning your PC o as you can simply do it from your phone. To set up, read the help and go into settings. Simple, but essential you do both. Obvious feature request - auto send so my Kindle updates automatically every morning. Fingers crossed.

Hey Gary - thanks for the kind review, and glad its working for you. I could absolutely schedule The Guardian to be delivered automatically daily, but then I'd make the app useless - nobody would ever use it :)

It formats the articles in one file, and you can click and expand them without exiting the file! I didn't know that was possible with mobi file. It just needs more options, like scheduling weekly and daily, not just for one time to be great. Also, it could catch the adds mistakenly as an article on some sites, but I can't blame the application for that. However, If it could eliminate that, it would be perfect.

Hi Goran - thanks for the great review! Which publications does it pick up the adverts from? I can have a look into it.
