I have a question regarding the digital subscription. It works fine on my android phone, although the screen is a little small. However, the digital subscription does not appear to work via the google play i digital app, without a printed i subscription (which kind of defeats the object). Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but it doesn't appear to work. The login asks for my email and subscriber id, which I dont have (just a password). Any ideas? Thanks.

3* is for the app, rather than the newspaper, which is 5*. The app is fine for reading individual articles but not so great when trying to read as a newspaper on a phone and even on a tablet. Not all puzzles in the paper are available as standalone puzzles. But would still recommend a digital subscription to the i and the app, but there is room for improvement.

There doesnt seem to be many new articles throughout the day. This is what stops me using the app as It doesn't feel like an up to date source for the news. I would like to receive breaking news notifications. An auto-download of today's paper and notification would be a nice feature, as would dark mode. I like the ability to customise the news topics at the top but more options would be nice too (tech for example)
