About this app

icompanion is a free (no in-app purchases, no advertisement) app and webplatform (icompanion.ms) that helps you with the home monitoring of your condition. In between your doctor’s visit, a lot of information is lost: how you feel, which symptoms you experience, how strong these are, how your disability, fatigue and cognition are changing, etc. The app is currently available in 🇺🇸 🇬🇧 English, 🇩🇪 German, 🇫🇷 French, 🇧🇪 🇳🇱 Dutch, 🇮🇹 Italian and 🇪🇸 Spanish.

For all of this, you’ve got a companion in me! Unlike most of the other health apps, icompanion is a registered medical device. Hence, the information you monitor with icompanion can be used by your doctor to make decisions on your health. If you log-in at icompanion.ms with the same account information, you can share your icompanion information with your doctor. This can lead to more productive conversations and there is more information at hand for your doctor on how you’ve been doing.

icompanion is very easy to use, yet full of relevant information for you. In only a few minutes a day, you will have an overview of:
✓ your daily mood
✓ Any notes you wish to add
✓ All your treatments, therapies, etc
✓ The symptoms you’re experiencing over time
✓ The severity of these symptoms

In addition, icompanion contains clinical tests that have been developed by the largest academic centers and that are used worldwide to monitor Multiple Sclerosis. These tests evaluate:
✓ Your level of disability, through the patient reported ‘Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS)’
✓ Your cognitive abilities, through the neuro quality of life (neuro-qol) questionnaire on cognition
✓ Your level of fatigue, through the neuro quality of life (neuro-qol) questionnaire on fatigue

Furthermore, icompanion allows you to upload your MRI scans to the webplatform (icompanion.ms). In this way, you can easily store all your medical scans in one secure and central space. You can scroll through your own brain scan in several directions and learn about what MRI can show (and what it doesn’t).

icompanion also includes a knowledge center, with relevant information that is explained. All of this together will help you to prepare for your doctor’s visit.

Take charge of your condition, monitor how you feel, track your health: let icompanion be your companion.

The icompanion team wants to learn your story and your ideas! Share them via support@icompanion.com.

I couldn't register for an account with my email address. I wonder if it had something to do with only one of the two 'yes I accept this condition' links having an accept button inside the link. The first one makes you scroll down to the bottom of the page before hitting accept, while the second only has a check box before looking at the link. Maybe the second acceptance didn't go through?

Hi there, we would like to help you figure out what went wrong! All fields on the sign up page are required. As long as the two checkboxes are ticked and all four fields (name, email, country, password) are filled out, you should be ready to go. Don't hesitate to contact us at support@icompanion.ms so we can get you started! - The icompanion team

Great and useful app. Thank you! Just two suggestions: when you make an account, creating a password shouldn't be that complex ( capital letter, numbers and symbols ?? ) and the users should be able to change their username or personal info; or at least I can't figure out from where you can change this. Overall great app!

Thank you very much for your useful feedback! We agree that the password requirements are quite strict, but this was needed because it is a medical app where sensitive data might be stored. We will include the option to change your account information in the app settings. This should be live soon. We hope you will continue to enjoy icompanion!

Looked good, and I assume would be helpful for tracking symptoms etc but doesn't have a medication diary with reminders so I have uninstalled it. That is my primary need in an app, the rest is really useful but a combination is a lot better

Hi there, we do have a treatment diary which you can find on the central page of the app under 'My Treatments'! Please take a look and feel free to edit your rating if you like it :) Kind regards, Annabel from the icompanion team
