Up until last week I'd have rated SMARTY as 4 or 5. Great value and strong signal. But I've had no signal at all for 9 days, and SMARTY cannot give me a definitive reason or timeframe for it to be fixed. They suggested I order a replacement SIM card, but that made no difference. I can get a signal in a very small area about 2 miles from home, so I know my phone is working. It feels as if 3 have suddenly decided to limit access to the customers of piggyback providers. Chat help is frustrating.

Hi Alex! I'm sorry to hear about your recent experience with SMARTY about the network. Unfortunately, like all networks, we cannot guarantee service availability in a particular location at any time, this is in our T&Cs and is agreed to upon sign-up.

About the cheapest mobile service provider you can find. I signed up through Money Supermarket, who have an offer that knocks Ā£4 off the unlimited data, texts and calls sim. It lasts a year before going back to Ā£20 a month. Smarty's well worth signing with. Their 5G is excellent. Customer service is text based but, when I've needed it, I have no complaints. They use the 3 network, so you know it's good.

No way to cancel. Have to cancel through bank. Just keep stealing money. They claim you can switch off auto renewal but it doesn't work.. The ability to switch off requires a type of billing to be enabled. My account claims that there is no type of billing. I would include a screenshot as I've been through this with customer services. There is no billing enabled and yet somehow every week. Money is taken from my credit card so I can't stop it.

Hi James! I have responded to another post you shared. You can switch off auto-renewal using the SMARTY app. All customers have this option as you are not tied to a contract. Please log in and turn the renewal option off. -Jodie
