The Wasitiyyah Creed is a treatise written by Sheikh Ibn Taymiyyah, composed in the year 698 AH, in which he mentioned the majority of issues of the origins of religion and beliefs, and the approach of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah.

The reason for authoring this creed was that a sheikh was presented to Ibn Taymiyyah from the land of Wasit, who was called: Radi al-Din al-Wasiti, one of the companions of al-Shafi’i, and they were pilgrims. In this belief, following the Qur’an and Sunnah.” He also said: “And every word I mentioned, I mention a verse, a hadith, or a Salafist consensus.”
