Spektrum AirWare™ iX12

First off two things the hardware this app runs on is top notch no complaint there. Secondly I have many Horizon Hobby products and love them all. As far as this app is concerned I can only say one thing AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS. The software in all honesty was better out of the box and has gone steady down hill with every update. It has deleted no less than 8 times models completely off the transmitter (mainly due to those models having telemetry although some did not). They recently fixed the exporting of models to an SD card but with the latest update that no longer works. I mentioned it deleting models from the transmitter because this cost me a considerable number of hours of field time programming the model back in from my own memory. It took many calls to finally understand how to do voltage telemetry reports rather than min/max warnings. Unfortunately now with the problems with the telemetry I am thinking of removing the telemetry from all my models. As I said before avoid this software and the radio. And I have contacted Horizon many times to address these problems and I sent it in once they returned it and said they could find no problem.

I have been using the iX12 for over a year. I went from 4 to 3 stars as the app crashes regularly (but not consistently) after partially charging the battery while is app is running. The battery level is also unreliable and not consistent with what Android displays. Also, the screen transitions are way too slow. On the positive side, the iX12 has a lot of new handy features compared to a DX6 and DX8. The touch screen, bluetooth and wifi make everything a lot easier.

I have done all the updates to the radio all firmware up to date. The radio keeps crashing. When i can get in to the system its extreamly slow at best. The time it takes to change screens is very long. I've had to do a master reset just to get the radio to boot up. In my opinion the IX12 is not a good radio. Don't buy this radio.
