Hifi-Apps help you to fully exploit the potential of your sound system. Enjoy a whole new listening experience. You don't need any prior knowledge: Hifi-Apps use established measurement methods, but generate easily understandable suggestions for improvement from the results, which are clarified by listening tests. Even the built-in microphone of your Android device provides many important insights. The next step is to work with a measurement microphone.
This app helps to set up the loudspeakers. Connect your Android device to your sound system and start the measurement. Go to your designated listening places according to the instructions and play one test signals. In addition to technical data, the app also provides automatic interpretation of the results with suggestions for improvement. Various speaker, listening position and damping material configurations can be directly compared.

Was hoping to get help room correcting my speakers. I did get frequency response plots but they were a mess, and changing bass/treble on the speaker and retesting gave different graphs but which didn't seem to show the change. The interface was confusing and help links went to pages in another language. The app defaulted to the voice quality setting for my phone's mic which I would assume is not ideal, but changing it didn't seem to help. Nice idea and awesome results can be viewed for free!

Thank you, in version 1.63 most is fixed - Linked pages now DE, EN (plus Google Translate) - Setting of mic-type has been replaced by an input selector - Tone controls typically work in a range of +/- 15 dB, room resonances can be considerably more sharp and stronger. In frequency response, perhaps that's why they were more noticeable.

Without another program showing f same results, I can't verify any of them to be accurate (analog results differ vastly). Learning how FFT works casts more doubt in accurate results. There's too many variables applied through rounding off A/D conversion. A reverse engineered science- Known results are matched with input data by math but bound to specific numbers rather than infinite. Inaccuracy results through extrapolated input (fudged) and comparative subtraction to imitate laws of physics.

The numerical accuracy of the FFT is well researched (Hifi apps uses double Precision). The sound measurement data is fortunately quite "benign" and does not lead to any differences of large numbers. Inaccuracies due to different measurement positions, microphones, reflections from shifted furniture etc. are many orders of magnitude stronger.

I love the app, bought the ad on apps, but after paying these won't install. Clicking "get yours" after paying does nothing. BTW.. might want to change "yet yours" to "get yours"

"yet yours" means that it was successfully installed. Please reload the results, then it should work. If not, contact me for an unlock code. It would be good if you could send me the device type (e.g. Galaxy Xy), the Android version and the time period when it happened. Then I can search the anonymized error messages.
