Failed to transfer call history and SMS to new phone, even though it said it had. After several resets & retries, I gave up and downloaded another app that worked beautifully. Turns out this one only works if your old phone is Android 9 or newer, but there's no warning of that onscreen. Very frustrating as I could see the Android backup of my old phone in Drive but it was completely inaccessible.

If your old phone is barely functioning to the point of being barely able to make a phone call and you want to transfer all your stuff from it to a new phone then a cable is the only way to go. However, as recent experience has taught me, the possibility the data being transferred is corrupted is quite likely. Nevertheless, it does it's job well under normal circumstances.

Photos sent in sms messages older than a year did not get transferred over, and sms message timestamps for text messages older than a year are 1 hour off from when they were actually sent. That would be understandable if it was iPhone to Android, but this was from Pixel to Pixel, so very weird. Everything else works fine
