About this app

MGIMO is one of the oldest academic centers in the country for the preparation of the international profile of professionals. The date of establishment of the university is considered to be 14 October 1944, when the People's Commissars transformed created the year before the International Department of the Moscow State Lomonosov University as an independent institution. The first set of MGIMO was 200 students. Since 1946, students from foreign countries were directed to study at MGIMO. In the early years there were three faculties in the university: international, economic and legal. In 1954, the eastern branch was opened at MGIMO. This was the result of a merger with one of the oldest Russian universities - the Moscow Institute of Oriental Studies, the successor to the Lazarev School, established in 1815. By the MGIMO moved Lazarus and the famous library, which had no equal on the composition of oriental literature in Moscow.

In 1958 MGIMO merged with the Institute of Foreign Trade of the USSR MW, established in 1934 in Leningrad, and then translated to Moscow. The result was significantly expanded the Faculty of Economics, has intensified its focus on the training of specialists for foreign trade and foreign trade. In 1969, the International Law Faculty and the Faculty of International Journalism were established.

In 1991, the Institute of the Faculty of International Business and Business Administration, and in 1998 established the Department of Political Science.

Since 1994, the decision of the Government of the Russian University entrusted with the training of specialists in the field of state and municipal management from among persons with higher education, working in the public administration. These training programs are implemented new structural subdivision of the University - International Institute of Management.

In February 2000, on the initiative of the largest oil, gas and energy companies in Russia at MGIMO structure was formed by the International Institute of Energy Policy and Diplomacy. The purpose of the Institute was the training for the development of international energy cooperation.

In 1994, the Institute received university status.

For seven decades, the Moscow State Institute of International Relations has become a major academic and research center, which implements educational programs of undergraduate and graduate programs and 16 areas of training (public and municipal administration, journalism, foreign regional studies, linguistics, international relations, management, teacher education, political science, advertising and public relations, social and cultural activities, sociology, trade, finance and credit, eq logy and environmental management, economics, law), conducted post-graduate training for 28 specialties (seven dissertation councils), conducted intensive language training in 53 foreign languages ​​(20 language departments). The structure of the University, eight departments, five institutes and the School of Business and international competences.

Preparation MGIMO Masters began in 1994, when the first program of the World Policy and Management have been opened. At present there are 48 master's MGIMO 13 areas of training programs.

In July 2013 MGIMO received international accreditation of educational programs at three levels of education, becoming the first and so far the only university in Russia to implement such a large-scale project.

There's no doubt that it's helpful for students, but it's nowhere near a good app. The app is ALWAYS crashing. On the plus side, I like the design since it's super easy to understand. As soon as they finish fixing all the bugs, it'll be an amazing app.

Lacks university map feature, design is kinda old and not adapted for new 20:9 phones, nonetheless great app for students
