Aladdin Connect allows you to monitor and control you garage door from anywhere. The Aladdin Connect app works with any Genie Wi-Fi-enabled garage door opener or retrofit kit and can be set up in minutes. The app controls up to 20 garage door openers or retrofit kits and allows you to do the following:
· Open or close the door from your smartphone
· Check whether the door is open or closed from anywhere, using your smartphone
· Get notified if your door is opened or closed and customize notifications
· Add up to 20 family or guest users and get notified when they operate the door

Update 4/16/24 - still having same issues. App is worse than useless now. Since software was updated, app has become unreliable. App shows door as offline. At device, led is solid green (showing status as connected). Opening the door using keypad or attached button results in app status changing to online. After a short interval app status changes to offline while connect device still shows solid green (connected) status. If door has to be opened by connected device, app is useless.

It used to work perfectly smoothly, but since a few weeks ago, my door disconnects constantly from my wifi network. I get a message on the app screen telling me it is because my "network doesn't allow my door to connect to the cloud." I don't have such a problem with the rest of my devices connected to my network, though. I've tried resetting it, I've uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, deleted the door, and restarted the whole setup process, but nothing has fixed the issue. So frustrating

Got a Genie garage door about a year back and it had the WiFi open/close via the Aladdin Connect app. For the first several months, it worked like a charm every time. Then they force pushed out an app update earlier this year and it broke the app. Now when I open the app to open/close the door, it almost always says "Door offline" and I cannot interact with the door via the app. It has nothing to do with the opener or my WiFi because you can easily check that. It is the app.
