Edit 20/04/21 App is opening again now, ads still making the page jump so please fix this and all will be well. Still getting notifications of new stories but they won't open, also won't refresh newsfeed from inside the app, it had this problem before and it was eventually fixed so please fix it again ASAP. Ads are a nuisance as they make the page jump when you're in the middle of reading an article so you lose your place.

First for local news, but seems to be unstable (Inc after recent update) works for a whole then crashes. HUAWEI 9.1 android 9. Have to uninstall then reinstall to see the news each time. POSTSCRIPT: {see developer's reply) Although I did have the latest version which I had reinstalled several times, I just reinstalled yet again and so far works OK. Android & HUAWEI work in mysterious ways. I wonder if the problems I had were related to the personalised settings.

If you're on 5.0.4 and still experiencing crashed could you please message us at mobile_app_feedback@reachplc.com with more details so we can investigate and figure out what could be causing this?
We had issues specifically with HUAWEI before so it could be related.

Not the best news App, too many non-stories and spelling and grammar mistakes. 2024 and it's no better. Keeps returning to front page. Northern Echo puts it to shame.
