The FreeStyle LibreLink app is approved for use with FreeStyle Libre and FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors. You can measure your glucose level by scanning the sensor with your smartphone. FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor users can now get automatic glucose readings in the FreeStyle LibreLink app, updated every minute, and also receive alerts when your glucose levels are too low or too high.[1]
You can use the FreeStyle LibreLink app to:
* View your current glucose reading, trend arrow and glucose history
* When using FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors, receive alerts when your glucose level is too high or too low
* View reports such as time on target and daily patterns
* Share your data with your doctor and family (with your consent)
SMARTPHONE COMPATIBILITY

USING THE APP AND READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR
Alerts can be on your FreeStyle Libre 2 Reader only or on your smartphone only (not both). To receive alarms on your smartphone, you need to start the sensor with the app. In order to receive alerts on your FreeStyle Libre 2 Reader, you must start the sensor with your Reader. Once the sensor has been started via the reader, you can also scan this sensor with your smartphone.
Remember that the app and the reader do not share any data with each other. To get the full information on one device, scan your sensor every 8 hours with that device; otherwise your reports will not contain all the data. You can upload and view the data from all your devices on LibreView.com.

App works fine and overall does a good job in tracking glucose. The live value tracking via bt is helpful especially when driving. However it does not create log book entries: there should be a button to do so, instead of doing a manual scan. Also there's still no way to get the glucose value at a certain time (unless it's already in the logbook). It should be possible to tap on the day graph line and know the glucose value (and when). Right now I have to do a very rough estimate.

In general the App works really good, my Glucose Management is on a very good level. BUT, the logbook is terrible. It is loading for at least a minute until I am finally able to add a note. Then it is another minute to save the input. I am sure this can be done in a much better way.

Overall the app is easy to use and supports me in my diabetes management. What I miss is the functionality to temporarily snooze the alarms of the app while I am treating high or low blood sugars. The alarm should be able to wait until either sugars or insulin kick in. Without a snoozing function, you have to switch of the alarm (itt is physically impossible to treat a high within 5min, and reminders each 5min disturb) but if you then afterwards forget to turn it on again, the alarm is useless
