Since 2016, astronomers have been searching for a large, distant planet to explain the unique orbits of objects in our solar system.
In THE SEARCH FOR PLANET X, a tabletop board game from Foxtrot Games, you will take on the role of these astronomers, using observations and logical deductions to search for this distant planet. The game uses a companion app to randomly choose a location for Planet X and other objects, following predefined logic rules.
As the earth travels around the sun, you will interact with the app to perform various research actions. You'll note what you learn on your deduction sheet, and you'll be able to piece together all the available information to publish theories and score points.

The experience this game provides would not be possible without this fantastic app. Great game design, produced to a very high standard by the fine folks at Renegade Games. The app is straightforward, intuitive and pleasant to interface with during game sessions. This from a lifelong boardgame lover who prefers NO app integration, thank you very much. I happily make an exception here. Well produced, solid app that does what it's supposed to with no major bugs or flaws that I have experienced.

The biggest flaw this app has is that it does not sync across devices. When multiple players are playing with the app on multiple devices there is no way to check what actions other players have taken. The app is ok for solo play but even there it does not track which sector the player is at and thus limit actions to the open sky, which would be an easy thing to implement in my opinion.

Works seamlessly with the physical game. Wish I could play the full game from an app as well sometimes eg while traveling, but the game physical game and this required companion app work together perfectly.
