FEMIS

Fiji Education Management Information System (FEMIS) is an application to access information regarding the Fijian Education System.

This application provides information on students, schools, teachers and school infrastructure. The basic data of schools in Fiji are publicly available. User access is required to view the confidential information. This app includes feature for online surveys and capturing photos.

One of the driving factors for the development of this app was to conduct initial damage assessments during any natural disaster such as cyclones. The FEMIS application already capture information on schools infrastructure, students and staff. During natural disasters, the initial damage assessment would only focus on the actual damages rather than determining the number of students, staff an so on.
