I do find it helpful to practice listening and learn new words. However, the Furigana indicated were wrong from time to time, please find someone to double check before releasing them. Also the meanings are sometimes approximate rather than a perfect translation. Grammar usages are rarely shown, there could be additional information on grammatical structures, for example にとって is "to that person's view", that could be added to the explanation given below the video.

Having transcribed content is a huge help, especially when listening to news stories. I have noticed however that sometimes the automatic translations of words are wildly off/misleading. For example, today 男女 was listed in the vocab as "masculine woman, mannish woman" when it clearly just meant "men and women". As an intermediate student I'm not as likely to be tripped up by these, but this app may not be ideal for beginner students as a result.

While I believe its important for companies to charge for apps, when you have free tickets to use once a day, it uses a ticket even if the video is no longer available. I have seen several mistakes in the transcript as well as the kanji that gets displayed on the bottom. Also, a feature to be able to download the transcript or to the original link to the YouTube video, could also be handy. This App definitely has great potential. And are the transcripts written by native Japanese speakers?

Hello, We are really sorry for the problem. Please tell me your email you use to login Japanese Voice, we will restore your free tickets today. About your question, the video was created by native speakers, the transcripts are written by N2 - N1 people.
