Early Markers (www.earlymarkers.com/emma) is recruiting parents/infants for a study to improve understanding of motor movements, especially in preterm infants. Emma Beta will support parent participation in this research study.
The parent will video the infant – awake and not fussy – on a clear and flat surface (such as floor, crib or bed) for 3-5 minutes. Parents then upload the videos to a secure portal for review by a licensed pediatric occupational (OT) or physical therapist (PT).
A risk assessment report, indicating the infant’s risk for CP (cerebral palsy) or other potential motor disorders, can be downloaded via the app.
This research study has been approved by Ethical & Independent Review services (E&I) Institutional Review Board #22033.
