About this app

The DAPT CHUV application guides you in prescribing the most optimal double antiplatelet aggregation (DAPT) for your patients according to the guidelines in force at the Vaud University Hospital (CHUV).

Recommendations regarding the prescription of DAPT in various clinical situations are presented interactively according to the characteristics of your patients, according to the latest evidence from the literature. The articles and scientific foundations behind these recommendations are also presented to you. In addition, key information for each medication is accessible and the link to various score calculators are integrated to facilitate daily practice.

The different clinical situations addressed in the application are as follows:

- In primary prevention

- Based on intermediate coronary lesions

- After revascularization

- Ultrashort DAPT

- So-called “aspirin-free” diets

- Long-term DAPT

- DAPT during concomitant anticoagulation

This application was developed as part of the Master's work of two medical students from the University of Lausanne (Gabriel Heierli and Anthony Martignoni), under the supervision of Dr. Stéphane Fournier, MD/PhD, PD MER, associate physician, Cardiology department, CHUV. This application aims to help the prescriber in the very specific context of the algorithms in force at CHUV (Lausanne, Switzerland) but the validity of the recommendations in any other context is not guaranteed. In all cases, the prescriber remains responsible for his prescription, which must follow the recommendations of learned societies (in this case the European Society of Cardiology) and respect the indications recognized by SwissMedic. This application is not intended for patients; in the event that a patient uses it, he or she must seek the advice of a doctor before making any medical decision.
