Maria Patrizia Calabresi.
“Unrepentant traveler, always traveling with the mind; librarian by profession, with a great passion for books”. She was born on May 11, 1953 in Rome, a city she loves very much and where she has always lived.
Graduated in Classics at the Sapienza University of Rome with a thesis on the Greek tragic author Moschione, she then graduated as a Librarian with a thesis on the Libraries of India.
After starting her professional career at ISMEO, where she also studied the Chinese language, she moved to the National Library of Rome, where she worked for 36 years as head of the Bibliography and Library Science Room and for Bibliographic Information.
