About this app

In my personal experience, painting was immediately an unexpected discovery as already when I was just over 14 years old I discovered a natural talent in myself, a quality that grew with me in the family environment, in this context I found the ideas that have allowed me over the years to bring to light works that depict places, landscapes, people, objects, typical of a reality closely linked to the mines which for many years up to the present day have been a fundamental source of livelihood for the population of my city and beyond. My father himself worked in the mine (S.Giovanni). My works therefore (and this one in particular that I present to you) are the reflection of that reality which today is only a memory but which is always alive and present in my heart and above all is always a source of inspiration for the works created up to now but also for those to come.
Goals
Underline through painting the path of economic development from the past up to the present day. Then reproduce on canvas what were the places where these tasks were carried out: mines, mining villages, extraction processing places, tools and utensils that were used to do this type of work until connecting the past history to the one that will now take its place as mining tourism.

Skills and developments in painting technique.
All works were created with oil painting technique.
The mixing of the colors takes place with raw and cooked linseed oil which gives the work a semi-gloss effect with greater workability and mixability of the color and turpentine to further improve the fluidity of the color brushstrokes.
Since 2016 I have been experimenting with works with acrylic color which, although brighter in pigment, has the downside of fast drying.

Private laboratory. (at the famous painter Piergiorgio Barranca).

In 2009 I approached with good results the experimentation of xylography which until then was almost completely unknown to me because it had never been practiced, to summarize it involves reproducing the work on a type of white tracing paper, the sheet must then be placed on a plate of wood (pear) perfectly smooth and precisely traced onto the wood, the design reproduced on the plate must then be engraved with an awl or various engraving tools. Once the work is completed, the wood mold will be used which will be wet with ink with a special roller and placed on a sheet of quality paper and with the pressure of the engraved wooden plate you will have the reproduction, which at the artist's discretion can reach a certain number of copies which, although identical, will always be different.
