I grew up in a small town in Sicily a few kilometers from Agrigento, home of the great Pirandello, who is among my favorite writers, even though I was a terrible reader.
I arrived in Rome in 1999 to continue my studies in psychology, and having fallen in love with this city, I decided to stay and live there permanently (despite the terrible quality of life!).
I currently work as an administrative employee and in my free time I dedicate myself to writing, my great passion and care. In fact, writing helps me free myself from the tensions of life and gives me a creative impulse that soothes my anger and fears.
I started by writing short stories inspired by real life stories, having worked as a home assistant for the elderly for 11 years, I certainly had no shortage of stories!
Sometimes I feel like a large cemetery, in my previous work I accompanied many people to their deaths and writing about them, as well as exorcising the pain of separation, seems to me a necessary act to continue to make them live.
I always thought that I didn't like poetry, and instead for a couple of years I've been writing angry poems, it's my way of expressing dissent towards a one-armed man to whom I don't feel like I belong. But in my poems there is always a call to critical thinking and the courage to fight for respect for one's rights and above all for one's freedom.
