Gianluca La Fauci

Born in Pisa in 1982, originally from Porto Santo Stefano and still residing in Rome where he has lived for 15 years, Gianluca La Fauci has gone through university courses that are not strictly artistic, undertaking a career as a computer engineer at a renowned software giant. However, his lifelong passion for music and his innate talent for the piano helped shape his artistic sensibility.

However, it was only at the age of 38 that Gianluca decided to venture into painting on canvas with the bold and experimental use of acrylic. The closures imposed by the pandemic have played a role of guilt and merit in this discovery, paving the way for a new passion which, in a very short time, is making it known to the public thanks to participation in numerous exhibitions and artistic events throughout the country.

In his works Gianluca aims to capture the essence of human emotions and to transmit them through a pictorial style that moves easily between the figurative and the abstract. His brushstrokes, embellished by an important use of colour, become the privileged vehicle for creating an intense visual dialogue between the work and the observer.
