About this app

My name is Gianfranco D'Ippolito, born on 02/03/1949 in Cittareale (RI) and I live in Rome.
Although I have had to face many, too many difficult moments in my life, I have never lost my optimism and my desire to learn something new every day. This is why I began to approach photography in 1968, attending a course to learn how to take beautiful photos, initially with a Nikkormat, with a 50 mm lens. Photography has always been my relief valve, whether it's a sunset, a child's smile or an ancient statue. I learned to develop photos by building my own darkroom, I started buying more professional cameras, such as the Rolleiflex 6x6, the Nikon F 2, the Zenza Bronica 4.5 x 6 mm. I have gained experience with sports and wedding photos and, even if for various personal reasons, I have not been able to continuously follow my passion, I have never abandoned photography which for me is a moment of life, a collection of memories and emotions, because every photo can be the symbol of a feeling, a funny or intense sensation and this is precisely what makes it so important. When analogue photography was replaced by digital, I started to get passionate about the new way of photography again, changing the type of cameras, working with a Canon EOS 10 D, and other models until I bought the latest Canon EOS R 7 Mirroles. My favorite subjects now are weddings, art and travel.
