Domenico Larizza

I was born in Milan on April 13, 1963, in a city that has always vibrated with energy and creativity.
In 1967, at the age of just four, my family decided to move to France. This migration represented a significant stage in my growth. During the twelve years I spent in France, I learned about and appreciated a new culture, gaining language skills and an international perspective that would influence me for life.
Returning to Italy in 1979, I continued my studies and obtained a degree in Economics and Commerce. This path introduced me to the world of finance and economics, but I always felt there was more to explore beyond numbers and balance sheets. In 1992, I qualified as a chartered accountant, a profession that allowed me to tackle complex challenges in the financial and legal fields.
Since I was young, I have cultivated a passion for photography. The camera has been my tool for capturing moments, emotions and hidden beauty. Through the lens I learned to see the world differently, to grasp details that often escape distracted glances.
In 2019, I embarked on a new chapter in my artistic life. I approached painting, an art that opened new expressive horizons. With brush in hand, I discovered that the deepest essence of our spirit manifests itself when we transform our feelings and passions into works of art. Painting taught me that authenticity and creativity can free our soul from the shadow of social conventions and cultural fences.
I have always believed that life has a deeper meaning than we often recognize. Social conventions, cultural expectations and the roles we are assigned can make us lose sight of this essence. However, I did my best not to lose it. With every photographic shot and every brushstroke on the canvas, I tried to project my true essence, my feelings and my passions.
