About this app

Miriam Longo was born in Messina on December 29, 1993. She completed her classical studies at the "Enrico Trimarchi" high school in Santa Teresa di Riva and is currently enrolled in the Faculty of Law at the University of Messina. She discovered the art of writing when she was still a child thanks to the stimuli received from her mother Mirella and from the Italian teacher of the first grade primary school who taught her the importance of reading and exercising creativity. Over time, writing becomes a real passion to which he dedicates himself daily, reading books and writing personal diaries and short stories. It will then be thanks to the multifaceted setting of the study of Literature, received from the Italian teacher of the lower secondary school, that she will begin to cultivate her passion in depth by coming into contact with the various literary genres, in particular those of narrative and of poetry. The love for the latter and the drafting of numerous poems were born following the study of Greek and Latin literature and the reading of the works of Alda Merini, Wislawa Szymborska, Salvatore Quasimodo and Eugenio Montale, all experiences that led her to " strongly believe that poetic language with its power and universality is one of the few means of communication which, immune from any form of hypocrisy, can truly connect the hearts and intellects of human beings on the frequencies of beauty and solidarity".
