Francesca Menconi

 Her passion for drawing was born as a child, "scribbling", even drawing on the walls of the house... so an art lover from an early age she began to paint as an autodidact, reserving her works only for friends and relatives.  The theme of the sea is immediately present in his paintings. The creative vein was transmitted to her by her father who was a sculptor of sacred and funerary art, in fact she grew up among vases, angels and other sacred figures in plaster, moulds, marble blocks, chisels and other tools. From his father he learned the passion for marble and modeling in clay, which he perfected by attending the studio of the Bergamo artist Massimo Facheris in Pietrasanta. He is fascinated by the ability to add, remove, shape and perhaps destroy and start over any of his works from modeled in clay. Experimenting with new techniques and different materials, she begins to create sculptures, pairs of anthropomorphic vases with faces and crowns characterizing them according to her own emotions. Her strong passion for marble, which for her is a return to her origins and for Greek art - Roman, takes her to attend the Devoti 3D sculpture workshop in Carrara where she creates her first work in Statuary marble which will be exhibited in her city on the occasion of an artistic event.   Since 2020 he has participated in various group exhibitions and events in his hometown including:-         from 16 to 22 July 2020 WHITE CARRARA DOWNTOWN exhibiting a series of vases, at Palazzo Binelli headquarters of the Cassa di Risparmio di Carrara Foundation-         from 17 to 25 July 2021 WHITE CARRARA DOWNTOWN – Corso Rosselli project “Carrara creative city of Unesco” UNICUM work currently exhibited at the Internazionale Marmi e Macchine Carrara. country of artists -         from 09 to 31 October 2021 First solo exhibition at the MAAC MARMI GALLERY in Carrara-          from 10 to 19 June 2022 Event WHITE CARRARA DOWNTOWN work in statuary marble SINE TEMPORE-         from 28 to 13 August 2022 Event TORANO NIGHT AND DAY – the country of artists. Currently his clay work “ERA” is exhibited at the YOUKALI Art Gallery in London.Two of his clay works are currently exhibited at the VS contemporary art gallery in Brera Milan. His marble work is currently exhibited at "La Capitolare" Suite Tower of Portovenere (SP)Some of his works are exhibited in various public and private places in Forte dei Marmi, Milan, La Spezia Pietrasanta, Lerici.
