Sara e Stefania Pedoni

 Sara and Stefania Pedoni were born in San Gavino Monreale in 1972. Passionate about art since they were children, in 2000 they approached different pictorial techniques with the use of oil on canvas. In 2005 they enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sassari. Since 2010 they begin to express their art through works inspired by abstract art. Each work expresses passion, emotion, inner disagreements in an incessant search for one's own being. Passions and inner conflicts are revealed with new forms of being. The twinning reveals a physical dichotomy but a single, almost symbiotic thought that finds perfect harmonic expression in painting. Through abstract art we express the deepest state of the female soul in its inherent sensitivity and complexity.Intimate revelations. The female body is the main theme of their artistic inspiration. Women's bodies and female faces intertwine to express the inner catharsis of women in the free expression of their femininity. The world in a rose. With the inclusion of the color red their artistic path evolves. The bodies and faces join the red floral element and the pictorial technique of oil on canvas welcomes the collage. Femininity remains at the heart of their inspiration, where the flower emerging from the rock represents the inner conflict between passion, delicacy and the aridity of the outside world. Love and universal pain. The artistic path continues the deepening of female interiority in its profound cognitive development. The works are enriched by the inclusion of the male figure with hidden faces. The color blue recalls the male salvific ideal, the legendary figure of the prince charming capable of dissolving the eternal female conflict. The colors of the soul. Lately their art returns to female bodies and faces, with the use of black and white colors. The chromatic evolution follows the inspiration in the unconscious path and in the inner growth that finds free expression of one's femininity in abstract painting.
