Theo Taddei

Theo Taddei was born in Florence on October 19, 1987. From an early age he cultivated a strong passion for music and for the drum instrument that he began to play for fun, tracing what he listened to in the headphones. In 2006 he joined the group TooMuchBlond first as a bassist then as a drummer; in the same year the first self-produced demo Waiting Room was released, with songs in Italian and English. Over the years, TooMuchBlond established themselves nationally as a solid live reality; won several competitions, including Notes in freedom, promoted by the province of Florence in 2006, and Coca-Cola Soundwave Discovery Tour 2007, promoted by Coca-Cola, to which MTV dedicates Operation Soundwave, a broadcast featuring TooMuchBlond as protagonists winners and opening act of the Coca-Colalive@MTV concerts in Rimini and Bari. Thanks to this contest, they signed a contract with Sugar, which entrusted Roberto Vernetti with the artistic production of two songs, No Flaw and Theo is Alone. In 2009 Theo Taddei confuses the group Le Furie in which he plays the drums. In 2012 the first album Everything will be fine (Ishtar) produced by Taketo Gohara was released, which obtained the favors of the public and critics. The group plays throughout Italy (with important openings, including I Ministri and Maria Antonietta), and wins the Red Bull Tour Bus Contest in 2012; in 2013 it was one of the three finalist bands of the Cornetto Summer Of Music Tour competition. In May 2017, the first single Il mare was released as a preview on Rolling Stone Italia, which anticipates the publication of the second album set for September 22, 2017. The future is nella testa comes out on the Gelsomina label and is distributed by Audioglobe. In 2017 Theo Taddei joined the Aquarama group as a percussionist, which released the album Riva; plays in Italy and Europe during the Riva Tour, also bringing his own song Nascondino in concert. In 2021 he accompanied the group Manitoba as drummer. From 2013, he began working on his personal project, Loto, which led to the publication, on April 10, 2020, of his first solo album and to create, from 2015 to 2020, a series of videos and drawings on paper, without title . Loto is the result of seven years of research into sound and image, detached from any interaction with the outside world. Since 2020 he has started a graphic research with color, working on the theme of illustration and on the artist's book, experimenting with the watercolor technique on large format papers.
