Jonathan Casini

Jonathan Casini aka Johnny Casini (English grandfather, mother from Mauritius and Italian father) was born in Correggio (RE) on March 4, 1992. His parents immediately directed him to the study of music and specifically the classical guitar. Around the age of 12/13 the experiences with the first bands begin and the subsequent transition to the study of the electric guitar. The great classics of international rock (Beatles, Rolling Stones, Guns and Roses) and the more recent Brit Pop (Oasis, Verve, Arctic Monkeys...) represent the main influences of this artistic phase, which will then lead to the publication of the first demo self-produced of unreleased songs "For a New Death" from 2014. In addition to music, writing also becomes an essential part of Johnny Casini's life, so he begins to compose his first poems and his first short stories. Johnny who interrupts his university studies in chemistry , left Italy in 2015, to move to London for a year. They offer him to record a music album on a professional level, all under the guidance of artistic producer Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music, David Gilmour, David Byrne, Brian Eno, Pink Floyd, Annie Lennox...). Here begins a very hard period for Johnny starting the pre-production of his solo album in the company of excellent musicians such as Gus Robertson (Razorlight), Javier Weyler (Stereophonics), Michael Boddy (Bryan Ferry & Roxy Music), Paddy Milner (Todd Sharpville) and Yaron Stavi ( Richard Galliano, Robert Wyatt, David Gilmour). Away from family and loved ones and immersed 24 hours a day in music, Johnny grows a lot both humanly and artistically, pouring the incredible emotions and sensations experienced during this long period into his compositions. Johnny In 2017 Casini flies to California in order to prepare the launch of the disc in the American market and later in Europe. At the end of 2018 Johnny Casini publishes his first EP on all digital platforms and in physical format: "Port Louis", six tracks unreleased Pop-Rock. After years of hard work, he released the first single, extracted from Johnny Casini's EP, entitled "Dark Sunglasses". Rolling Stone Italia releases the preview of the official Video Clip. In 2019 the long and demanding radio, journalistic and live promotion of "Port Louis" begins. The Covid-19 does not stop the creativity of Johnny Casini which continues with the composition and recording of unpublished musical material. In this period he devoted himself a lot to writing poems and short stories. Opening a new artistic path, which travels parallel to his music.
