Alessandro Gheri Born in Scandicci On 19 March 1958, my approach to photography was a personal journey, it can be said that I am purely self-taught. I became passionate about photography from the point of view of the technical medium, I was more interested in the camera than in the photos, I searched for the "perfect" photo using my brain instead of my "heart" and when I took shots I was inevitably never satisfied with the result and gave the “guilt” to the limit imposed by the camera. Little by little I understood that the "perfect" photo does not exist or rather it is the one that still has to be taken. The Photo is emotion, the Photo is history, the Photo is a message to the soul, the photo must not falsify reality, the Photo captures moments of truth that would otherwise be lost. My photos are mainly travel photos, through which I try to convey the emotions of the moment. I still hope to take the “perfect” photo.
