The Jerusalem Bible (BJ, French: Bible of Jerusalem) is a Catholic version of the Bible written in French under the direction of the French Biblical and Archaeological School of Jerusalem. The BJ has been translated into Spanish and other vernacular languages, either in the biblical text or just the comments and introduction part. It is valued for its introductions, footnotes, and richness of its parallels in the margin. It is considered a Bible of excellence for Biblical exegesis and Lectio Divina.

The Jerusalem Bible was published in French in 43 fascicles between 1948 and 1955. The French version had a revision in 1973 and an edition in 1998. In Spanish editions and revisions of the BJ have come out in 1967, 1975, 1998 and 2009. Spanish version is printed by Desclée de Brouwer (Bilbao).

The Jerusalem Bible / Catholic Bible is a collection of ancient writings that contain records of God's dealings and instructions to His children. The word Bible is of Greek origin and means "books". Although we often think of the Holy Bible of Jerusalem / Catholic Bible) as a single book, it is actually a divine library bound in a single volume.

The French Biblical and Archaeological School of Jerusalem used the original texts in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek for its French version, instead of the Vulgate of St. Jerome. For the Spanish version, a team of Spanish translators also used the original writings in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek for the biblical text; while the presentation, titles, introductions, notes and appendices were translated from the French version of the BJ. In the following editions of the BJ in Spanish (catholic) new features have been incorporated in the introductions and notes as a result of the updating of the biblical investigation.
