The Criminal Code of Romania (Criminal Code of Romania of July 17, 2009. Published no. 510 of July 24, 2009) - is the main legislative act that defines crimes and their punishment in Romania. The current Penal Code was adopted in 2009 (Law 286/2009) and entered into force on February 1, 2014. It contains 446 articles, being divided into two parts: the General Part, the articles, and the Special Part, the articles.
