French Penal Code (Penal Code of the French Republic. Release date: March 1, 1994) - is the main legislative act that defines criminal offenses and their punishment in France. The penal code is the set of laws promulgated on July 22, 1991 and came into force on March 1, 1994. Although the code remains in principle the same, it is not a modification or even a recast of the Penal Code of 1810, but an original work of composition and writing.
