The Dnyaneshwari (Marathi: рдЬреНрдЮрд╛рдиреЗрд╢реНрд╡рд░реА) is a commentary on the Bhagavad Gita written by the Marathi saint and poet Dnyaneshwar in the 13th century. This commentary has been praised for its aesthetic as well as scholarly value. The original name of the work is Bhavarth Deepika, which can be roughly translated as "The light showing the internal meaning" (of the Bhagvad Geeta), but it is popularly called the Dnyaneshwari after its creator. Saint Dyaneshwar wrote the Dyaneshwari in Nevasa beside a pole which is still there

The Dnyaneshwari provides the philosophical basis for the Bhagawata Dharma, a Bhakti sect which had a lasting effect on the history of Maharashtra. It became one of the sacred books (i.e. the Prasthanatrai of Bhagawata Dharma) along with Ekanathi Bhagawata and Tukaram Gaathaa. It is one of the foundations of the Marathi language and literature, and continues to be widely read in Maharashtra. The Pasayadan or the nine ending verses of the Dnyaaneshwari are also popular with the masses.

According to Vaisnava belief, the Bhagavad Gita is the ultimate statement of spiritual knowledge since it was professed by Lord Krishna who was an Avatar of Vishnu. Dnyaneshwari is considered to be more than a commentary on the Bhagavad Gita because it was professed by Dnyaneshwar, who is considered to be a saint. It contains more easy and lucid examples about the teaching in Bhagavad-Gita as it is said that saint dnyaneshwar composed it for the development in the behaviour of people. It is quite difficult for today's life to understand the concepts clearly as the written text is very old and is written in about 1290 A.D. It is made available by many publications in simplified as well as original form.

I have purchased this app and I am finding it more useful now. Today I suggest that please add back button as u have added forward button, now what is happening when I go back for the earlier Ovi it Directly exits to the Index. There is no provision for referring the earlier Ovi so please add that back button in opposite side of the forward button. The app has become toooo good, I also suggest u to develop the same like app or this app itself for iPhone and iPad also. best regards

As brought out earlier, there is no "Back" button yet. Please incorporate at the earliest. Also there should be a facility to go back to where you were when you close the app and open it next time i.e. remember the last page opened. You should also give facility to bookmark a page which is helpful if there are some interesting"Ovi". Request your reply and an early solution please, if you agree. If not, kindly tell us. Thank you very much.

Very nice! If possible please add a way to search a specific ovi of a particular adhyaya as they're referred to in many books - for example they ovi 186 of 6th adhyaya; then as there's a way to go ahead one ovi, please also give a way to go back one page. And this will be kind of hard but an English translation below Marathi will be very helpful too. Thank you very much ЁЯЩП
