For us at CASO, food management means sustainability and a clear view at the same time. With the innovative food manager app you will be able to manage the complete content of your fridges and freezers at home in just one app. This overview lets you know within seconds what kinds of food is still there and when the best-before date is reached. The CASO food manager automatically calculates the individual best-before date for fresh food based on the way of packaging (e.g. vacuum sealed) and the storage location (e.g. freezer).
Depending on your request, the app will remind you before a best-before date is reached to avoid food waste in your home. By using original CASO vacuum bags with included QR labels youl can even improve the using comfort of this app. Just seal your food, place the QR label and import in into your food manager app. Of course all stored foods can be shared with your friend and family via Whatsapp. Maybe to plan the next kitchen party?!

The app is good. The only use case which is not covered when you have several products which are the same (same weight, best before etc.). For example, I have 3 packs of butter as I understood I have to add each pack and if I add only one (3 servings) it is impossible to withdraw only one pack. It seems the quantity feature is missing.

I've just started using a CASO vacuum sealer to improve my food storage behaviour. At the moment I'm using the app to track the food in the freezer - it's a great software that helps to remind you about the 'best by' date for each piece of food, vacuum-sealed or not. It also helps you avoid rummaging around in the freezer and getting warm air in by letting you choose the shelf your food is in, so all you have to do is check where you added the food in the app and grab it in a second. I sent an email with further improvement suggestions via the website and got a very nice and detailed reply back. Most of what I suggested is already planned for one of the upcoming app updates. The developers really care about how people are using the app, and what they can do to improve it for their customers.

I've been using this a lot over the last couple of months. It helps me keep an inventory of my items (not just food, I use it for everything :D), and make sure I don't get to the point where I have stuff in the freezer from 3 years ago just because I forgot about it. The process of adding/withdrawing food is pretty easy and you can use hashtags in the item description to find things easier. By the way, you don't need to speak german, everything is in english if you need it :)
