App used to work perfectly. Recent update broke the #1 thing that most users want to do with it; open it from the background and switch lights on or off. Now every time you open the app from the background, you have to go back to the home page, and then back into the devices page before you have control of anything. Perfect example of a developer trying to fix something that wasn't broken or trying to improve it and breaking it instead. Still technically works so 3/5, but this needs a patch ASAP

Genuinely one of the worst devices and apps i have ever used in my life. Way more often than is reasonable, the bulb will lose connection. Unfortunately some absolute spastic decided that the failure mode should be to reset the device, which causes it to flash. Of course, if its got no connection you cant use the atrociously designed, clunky app to connect to it. After 12 months and hundreds of resets its just been yeeted out the window. I sincerely hope there is an Ebola outbreak at Calex HQ

Very poor. It's​ very complicated​ to pair the device. The app removes my setting everytime the router got rebooted. I have to re-enter the password everytime I try to pair the device which keeps failing. The bulb keeps returning to pairing mode. Now I can't​ pair the device nor turn the bulb to the normal mode without constant​ly flashing disco light. I'm so dizzy!
