The Truthbrush is a small, decorative device that fits easily on any manual or electric toothbrush. It allows you to track all tooth brush events and monitor the duration and coverage. We all know that brushing twice a day for two minutes is essential to your health. Children often brush for a short duration, miss coverage areas or simply forget to brush at all. You can't be with your kids for every brushing, Truthbrush can.
With Truthbrush you can collect all brush event data seamlessly in the background. There is no start or stop button, it passively collects data so that you can view the trends over time. Truthbrush ends the "did you brush" argument and allows you to coach and reward your family to better oral health. According to the World Health Organization dental care is the most unmet healthcare need in children and adolescents. The concept is great. The time/activity tracking works well and shows every time I stop to spit. BUT... It doesn't track where I've brushed. I can brush only the outsides of my teeth and it will still say I did great on every surface. Also, I changed both the goal and alarm to 3 minutes (I love that you can change it!), but the alarm is still going off at 2.

The concept is fantastic. It does track when my kids brush. The problem I have is that it is not accurate on where they are missing when brushing. I had gotten one for myself as well, to see where I needed to improve. I specifically did not brush on one lower side to test the application... the app said I did a 98% job. I am very disappointed. I mainly got this to be able to show my kids where they are missing when brushing and help them improve. I'm not sure we are going to keep this product.

The information is useful but you don't get it until after your child has stopped brushing. I was hoping it would show a live diagram of what was being brushed and what was not yet cleaned. The interface needs to be simplified and it would be nice to have a timer that pops up when a child starts brushing so they can see how long they need to brush.

Thank you Ivy for the feedback, we have already forwarded it to our product team to consider. Regarding timer, you can configure it using the app, and the tracker will beep when the timer is off based on your duration setting. We do not however, encourage the use of phones in bathroom. What the user learns is exactly the right habit it needs to be.
