What is the Bible?
The Bible records what God has done in the world and his will for all creation. The writing of the "Bible" has gone through sixteen centuries and is the crystallization of more than forty human authors. This is quite an astonishing collection of 66 books in very different styles that contain God's message to us.

This compilation booklet contains a surprising variety of literary styles. There are many stories in the text, from the lives, battles and journeys of good and bad people, to the life of Jesus and the activities of the early church. The Bible comes to us in narrative and dialogue, proverb and parable, song and parable, history and prophecy.
Records in the Bible are generally not written down as they occurred.
