Baklava application contents:

Baklava sweet: Baklava sweet made of layers of flaky phyllo pastry filled with crushed nuts and sweetened with honey syrup. Baklava sweet of some form is made in many countries today, but it's Turkey that's most famous for producing the delicacy. Great wide sheets of pastry are stretched so thin they become transparent, before being buttered and layered on top of one another.

Greek baklava: Greek Baklava is a traditional pastry known for its sweet, rich flavor and flaky texture. It consists of phyllo (or filo) dough, nuts, spices, and a sugary syrup. So, I'm aware that I'm somewhat over-generalizing here by saying that Greek baklava uses honey, walnuts, and cinnamon, while Turkish baklava uses a sugar syrup, pistachios, and lemon juice without the addition of spices or other flavors.

Turkish baklava: Turkish Baklava, also known as Fistikli Baklava or Pistachio Baklava is a deliciously rich, buttery, sweet dessert made from phyllo dough, finely ground pistachios, butter, and a syrup made from sugar, water, and lemon juice. That's it!

Pistachio baklava: The city of Gaziantep in southeast Turkey is famous for its pistachio baklava. The dessert was introduced to Gaziantep in 1871 by Çelebi Güllü, who had learned the recipe from a chef in Damascus.

Can Vegans eat baklava?
Traditional baklava is, unfortunately, not vegan. The reason for this is that a primary ingredient used is honey. However, we can easily substitute that and make this taste just like the classic, albeit with no honey flavor. Furthermore, many people are unaware that phyllo dough and filo pastry is vegan.

Baklava is made of layers of filo dough with cinnamon-scented walnuts in the middle. After its baked, honey is poured over it for the filo to soak up. It's quite a sweet dessert, but if you use good quality honey, your taste buds will be exposed to brilliant crunchy texture and delicious taste.
