The app worked well on a second device to previously prove a man in the middle attack on the WiFi network proving a previously undetectable hack. Now, the app does not seem to properly log the time that it is being used and does not log the scans that it has done. Nonetheless, better than most malware scanning apps. And free at that. Now, it seems that the VPN is showing varying usage. A few hours ago it told me that there was no VPN left, now it is telling me that I have used 20 percent of it.

Excellent. Prior to getting Avast One, I had separate apps for ativirus, VPN, and other security plus app management. I now have it all in one app, and automated scans instead of whenever I think of it,.. or when something isn't running well. I've used Avast and AVG (I think they're the same company) off and on for around 25 years, so I was happy to find Avast One all (or most;) in one. In the long ruin it pays to put out a good product without subscriptiin to earn future paying loyal.

Came back to Avast after a decade or more elsewhere, the protection ratings have lured me back. Two bugs so far on android. 1st the app refuses to recognise that I am in fact connected to WiFi, so WiFi inspector won't start. 2nd the scheduled scan does not launch when battery saving is enabled on my Samsung A34, despite battery optimisations being deselected for avast. Annoyance is I can't tell it I don't care about app lock so stop reminding me!!!
