Nail the Pitch - Vocal Monitor

I use it for tuning, it's cool to see the octave number, and what the sound wave is doing, Especially..after..hitting a note on a string. Sometimes it holds true, others times the note is sharp initially, then goes true. I adjust according to how hard/loud I plan on strumming. It's accurate enough forbmy needs, and my expectations for a phone mic.

I have used this app for years to track the pitch of my students when they are doing vocal exercises. It's useful for those with poor intonation and it's a great visual representation when students keep getting the same note or phrase wrong. I recommend this 100% (and more % if there were such a thing). The pro version is definitely worth the extra few ££ as the ability to record progress is hugely beneficial for the students.

Half works, half doesn't. It sometimes will tell me the pitch but most of the time it's completely off. I sing a low note, it thinks I'm going high and vice versa. Tried it with two different microphones and same issue. Just not accurate enough to teach me anything. It detected whistles just fine though, but singing in my natural voice I can't get it to draw a solid line without it shifting wildly. It's like it thinks I switched a whole octave when I haven't changed a note.
