About this app

Regional Anesthesia Reference provides a quick look at the anatomy, positioning, and techniques for placing regional nerve blocks under ultrasound guidance. This includes ultrasound images and anatomic descriptions, images of patient positioning, and videos of block placement.

Current blocks include:

Interscalene
Supraclavicular
Infraclavicular
Axillary
Femoral
Adductor Canal
Suprainguinal Fascia Iliaca
TAP
Rectus Sheath
Sciatic (Popliteal)

A local anesthetic drug calculator is also included for assistance with calculating maximum dosages and percent of max dose delivered for a given patient. This is a weight based calculator using dosages from Miller's Anesthesia or Morgan and Mikhail.

What's there is done well but it's very limited (only 7 blocks). Also could include comprehensive section for indications, contraindications, risks and complications. With a fuller catalogue would definitely be a five star app.

Thanks for the feedback! More blocks are in the way. I developed this as a reference for my residents so it's initial focus is on the basics. TAP and suprainguinal fascia iliaca should be out soon!

Fantastic work from Dr Walters! I have shared this with all my residents at UNM and here at VCU. So useful and easy to navigate. Thank you for an elegant and useful free resource. Great for the learner or as a refresher.
